HOSS Coworking Venues
Coworking is about getting work done. A coworking venue should expect HOSS members to show up for at least 3 hours, often 6 hours, and frequently until closing. When doing work we value,
- Location: Location is far less important when coworking. We don't have to cater to everyone in the group for every coworking venue.
- Sustenance: Food for sale or freely available.
- Large Tables: Frequently cafes have tables too small to work at.
- Hours: A coworking venue will more valuable if it's open to 22:00, 24:00 or 02:00. If you close at 20:00 and people get off of work at 17:00, they'll be there for less than 3 hours.
- Reasonable Host: Coworking is about getting work done first and foremost. Typically we need bigger tables than your average cafe provides, and we stay longer than your average customer. Rules against outside food and drinks, and obligating a purchase is expected. Having a minimum charge, or pressuring people into purchasing meals or the like will make the host undesirable.
