Shannon Walker Neighborhood Library @ Westbury

The Shannon Walker Neighborhood Library is a Houston Public Library branch located in the Westbury neighborhood of southwest Houston. Named after astronaut Shannon Walker, this modern library facility provides an excellent environment for focused work, study, and community collaboration. The library serves as a neighborhood gathering place, embodying the same values of open access to information and community service that drive the open source movement.

The library features comfortable seating areas in a quiet atmosphere conducive to productive work. We typically work on the large table, which has in-table power. The library also has dependable and fast wifi. One of the nice things about this library is the public office space in sound isolated offices, however there are only two-available.

This library also has an indoor section called TECHLink which includes a recording studio, podcasting studio, and 3D printers.
