Venues

Explore the various locations where Houston Open Source Society meets throughout the city

Houston Open Source Society meets at several locations around the Houston area. Each venue offers unique amenities and is selected to provide accessible spaces for our community to gather, learn, and collaborate. Inclusion in this list in any capacity requires readily available parking, power, and fast and reliable wifi.

HOSS Meeting and Event Venues

Venues are typically public libraries, community centers, corporate offices, or coworking spaces.

  • Location: Easy to reach via major roads and public transportation. Certainly inside Beltway 8. Ideally, inside or close to 610.
  • Access time: Venues must be available on Wednesday (ideally 6 PM - 9 PM).
  • Friendly to Meeting: If the meeting space is on the seventh floor and we have to ride the elevator down to let everyone in, the venue will not work for our purposes. If we can buzz people in, it's a great prospect.
